Where the familiar shifts

Artist StatementArt doesn’t settle into a single, fixed meaning. Like the wind, it can be experienced without translation—felt before it is understood. My work begins in observation but drifts away from expectation. Familiar forms are re-imagined through gesture, expression, and movement, inviting the viewer to pause—and look again.I am drawn to moments where beauty and surprise intersect—where something recognizable becomes newly seen. This impulse is rooted in my faith in a Creator whose imagination and beauty are reflected, however faintly, in my own work.(To view full portfolio, follow links at bottom of the page.)
